Loving mother Ms. Marie Peterson of Fredonia passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning October 9 2013 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. She was 72 years old. Marie was born July 9 1941 in Port Washington the daughter of Clarence and Oliva Risch Ansay. She was a 1959 graduate of Port Washington High School. Marie worked at Rockwell Automation in Mequon for almost 25 years. Marie enjoyed living life to its fullest and was active in many activities and hobbies. She was a long-time member of Divine Savior Parish where she participated in numerous committees and groups including the choirs at both St. Rose Chapel and Holy Cross Chapel. She was an avid card player who enjoyed playing Sheepshead and bridge with friends from her groups. She belonged to the Fredonia Garden Club Kettle Morraine Square Dancers and the Women's Moose Lodge in Saukville. When her children were young she was a Little League coach as well as a 4-H leader in Fredonia and Waubeka. Marie is survived by her children: Loretta (John) Castonia of Ventura CA Michael (Shannon) of DePere Jeffrey (Melissa) of Fort Atkinson Kevin of Madison and Megan of Fredonia. She is further survived by 2 grandchildren: Abigail and Andrew Peterson brothers Lester (Lois) Ansay of Olathe KS and Ronald (Chris) Ansay of Fredonia sisters Bernice (Dennis) Junger of West Bend Rosanne Wittkop of Simi Valley CA and Joanne (Ken) Redman of Fredonia nieces nephews cousins other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her son Ricky Peterson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7PM on Thursday October 17 2013 at Divine Savior Parish St. Rose Chapel 305 Fredonia Ave Fredonia. She will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave Port Washington on Thursday from 3-6:15PM leaving in procession for St. Rose Chapel at 6:30. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is honored to be serving the family.
