Obituary

Marie K. Emmer Mrs. Marie Emmer of Cedar Valley Road in the Town of Fredonia passed away at Ruth Hospice in Milwaukee early Thursday morning Sept. 2 2004 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was 59 years old. Marie was born on February 15 1945 in Port Washington daughter of Lawrence and Lucille Ternes Wellenstein. After graduating from high school Marie went on to attend and graduate from St. Norbert's College in De Pere. On June 21 1969 she was united in marriage with Paul Emmer at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. He preceded her in death on November 9 1993. Mrs. Emmer was a Special Education Job Coach at Ozaukee High School in Fredonia from 1994 until 2003. She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish St. Rose Chapel in Fredonia where she taught special needs religion classes and was formerly on the church council. She enjoyed weaving and helping out at Portal Industries. Marie was very involved in the special needs community and spent a lot of her time helping others to help themselves. She is survived by her 2 daughters: Amy (Scott) Jaeger of Tallahassee FL and Katy Sue Emmer of Port Washington. She is further survived by her mother Lucille Wellenstein of Port Washington parents-in-law Lawrence and Bernice Emmer of Fredonia 1 sister Gail (Nick) de Chadenedes of Everett WA 1 brother Larry (Mary Jo) Wellenstein of Glendale nieces nephews other relatives and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband 1 infant daughter Ruth and her father Lawrence Wellenstein. Funeral Services will be held Saturday September 4 7PM leaving from the Funeral Home and going to Holy Rosary Parish St. Rose Chapel Fredonia for Mass of Christian Burial at 7:30 PM. Father James Ernster will officiate. Marie will be placed next to her husband in St. Rose Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave. (Hwy LL Park St.) in Belgium Saturday Sept. 4 from 4-7PM.
