Marie M. Dashner (nee Groth) of Cedar Grove was called home on the morning of Friday, March 9, 2018. She was born in Milwaukee to Edwin and Selma (nee Kruse) Groth on July 10, 1941. She married Bryant Dashner on October 8, 1995 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia. Marie had a great love of family and never missed sending each and everyone a birthday card by mail. She was an expert gardener and loved canning. One of her life long hobbies included raising chickens. She always enjoyed when her egg customers would stop and visit with her and play a game of cribbage. She was a loving wife, mother and a good friend. She will be greatly missed by all. Marie is survived by her devoted husband Bryant, her children: John Rau, Leann (Gary) Dieringer, Joe Rau, Jenny (Dan) Burton, Clint (Angela) Rau; foster daughter, Judy Rosenthal, Grandchildren; Rachael (B.J.), Josh, Samantha, Nick (Lindsay), Joe (Kyrie), Jim, Tiffany, Aleah, Ben (Amanda), Johan, Seth, Jacob, Jena, Jake; great-grandchildren, Cheyanne, Celest, Katie, Brooklyn, Kenley, T.J., Hailei, Adeline and Azaleah; brother, Phil (Janice) Groth; nephews, Aaron and Nathaniel. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00PM on Friday, March 16, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church (824 Fredonia Ave. Fredonia, WI 53021) with Pastor Robert Zick presiding. Visitation will be at the CHURCH from 4:00PM until the time of service. Interment will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
