Marie E. Barbano of Cedarburg was born to Eternal Life on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the age of 62. She was born to Joseph and Esther Schmidt on October 3, 1957 in Milwaukee. Marie married Leonard Barbano in 1975 and together they had two children. Marie grew up in Milwaukee and worked as a hairdresser for fifteen years. She was a dedicated mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Cedarburg for over twenty years. Marie loved spending time with her family and cooking for them. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, laying out in the sun and traveling up north to visit her in-laws. Marie was a very proud grandmother and always giving of herself first. She will be forever missed by those who loved her. Marie is survived by her husband Leonard, her children Christine Barbano and Brian (April) Barbano; grandchildren, Nathan, Gabriel and Austin Barbano; siblings, Michael Schmidt, Patricia Schuster and Frances (John) Jacques. She is further survived by numerous siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Esther Schmidt; in-laws Leonard Sr. and Vivian Barbano; brothers-in-law, Thomas Barbano, Richard Schuster and David Ballering; sister-in-law, Jennifer Schmidt. A Funeral Service for Marie will be held at 6:00PM on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Eernisse Funeral Home (1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg, WI 53021). The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 4:00-6:00PM. Marie will be laid to rest at Bad River Reservation in Ashland County, WI.
