Obituary

MARIAN L. RUSCH Mrs. Marian Rusch of Spring Street in Random Lake passed away at Gables On The Pond Tuesday morning August 28th 2007. She was 85 years old. Marian was born in Sheboygan on December 19 1921 daughter of George and Theresa Theis Wiesner. She was united in marriage with Mr. Edward Rusch in St. Nazian's on October 28 1942. Shortly after their 47th wedding anniversary he preceded her in death. Mrs. Rusch was a homemaker but was very involved in the community. When her children when young she was a Cub Scout den mother and had been involved with the local 4H group teaching cooking to the kids for almost 20 years. She had also taught CCD at St. Patrick's. Mrs. Rusch was a contributor to the Community News column for the Plymouth Review the Sheboygan Press and The Sounder. Marian was a former member and Past President of the Batavia Homemakers Club a former board member and treasurer of the Random Lake Library and remained a member of The Friends of the Library. Mrs. Rusch had sold Amway and strawberries for many years using the money for projects around the house but always had time to cook and bake. Known as the Butterhorn Lady she had contributed many dozens for bake sales and fundraisers. She also won a blue-ribbon from Sure-Jell for her Strawberry Freezer Jam and remains in their Hall of Fame. Marian is survived by her 7 children: Keith (Eva) Rusch of Sheboygan Brian (Clarice) and Bill (Sue) Rusch both of Batavia Rose Kaufman of Phoenix AZ Roy (Carol) Rusch of Plymouth Ray (Kathy) of Albany NY and Alan (Denise) Rusch of Hiram GA 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her close friend Julius Jackson of Phoenix AZ cousins Ray (Jeanette) Theis of Random Lake Ray Schmidt of Florida and Bob Schmidt of Maryland nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward 1 great-grandson and 2 brothers: Merlin and Arthur Wiesner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday August 31 10AM at Our Lady of the Lakes St. Mary's Chapel in Random Lake. Father Richard Cerpich will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Patrick's Cemetery Adell. The family will receive visitors on Thursday August 30th at the Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave. (Hwy LL Park St.) in Belgium from 4-8 PM and on Friday from 9-10AM at the Church. Memorials are suggested to the Random Lake Library or the Random Lake Fire Department. The family extends their thanks to the offices of Dr. Bettag and Dr. Murthy Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and the staff at Gables On The Pond for the great care of Marian.
