Marian Scharnow of Port Washington passed away on Friday January 31 2014 at Harmony of Brentwood Park in Franklin. She was 82 years old. Marian was born in Cedarburg on June 5 1931 daughter of Martin Wollner and Hattie Gleizel Wollner. On October 3 1953 she Married Merlyn Sleepy Scharnow at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg. He preceded her in death in 2008. Marian worked as a nurse's aidat Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington for close to 40 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington and enjoyed traveling and shopping. She is survived by her children Michael (Brenda) Scharnow of Fountain Hills AZ and Michele (Michael) Howard of Hales Corners six grandchildren; Joshua Zachary Mariah (Joseph) Mackenzie (Timmy) Michaela and Mason and two great-grandchildren Everett and Adler. She is further survived by her brother Herbert (LaVerne) Wollner of Cedarburg sister Mildred (the late Francis Bud) Kaiser of Port Washington sisters-in-law Diane (Jim) Adams of Vista CA and Dolores (the late Carl) Wollner of Saukville nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents her husband Merlyn and her brother Carl. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday February 4th at 6:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church Port Washington. Father Tom Lijewski will officiate. Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Tuesday February 4th from 4-6 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials suggested to the American Lung Association.
