Maria MeissnerMrs. Maria Meissner age 77 years of Random Lake passed away on Wednesday July 16 2008 at Gables on the Pond where she had been a resident. Maria was born in Germany on August 28 1930 daughter of the late Nicholas and Katherine Riesch Wasensteiner. She grew up in Germany where she met her husband Hilbert Meissner who was stationed there with the US Army. The couple married in Germany in April of 1948. In the early 1960rsquo;s they moved their family to Random Lake. Mrs. Meissner worked as a stitcher for Allen-Edmonds for 28 years retiring at the age of 65. She enjoyed painting sewing reading and music. She is survived by her children Dr. Frank (Cynthia) of Del Rio TX Mary Lou (James) Schumacher of Oconomowoc Hilbert (Bridget) Jr. of Jackson Robert (Kaye) of Waupon and Steven (Pamela) Meissner of San Antonio TX. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren 1 brother Stephen Wasensteiner and 1 sister Magdalena (Herman) Aumann both of Lenggries Germany nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents 3 brothers and 5 sisters. A mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Monday July 21st at 12:30 PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish St. Maryrsquo;s Chapel in Random Lake. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the Church on Monday July 21st from 11:30 until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials suggested to the Random Lake Area Interfaith Food Pantry. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family.
