Margaret Mary Wellenstein ldquo;Pegrdquo; nbsp; Ms. Margaret Wellenstein formerly of Lake Church Road in the Town of Belgium passed away Wednesday November 17th 2010 at Belgium Gardens in Belgium.nbsp; She was 86 years old.nbsp; Margaret was born at the family home in the Town of Belgium on March 14 1924nbsp; the only daughter of Frank and Catherine Seiler Wellenstein.nbsp; Peg attended school at St. Mary in Lake Church and finished high school in Port Washington. After her mother passed away Peg was in charge of taking care of her seven brothers and the family home.nbsp; She worked at Lake Church Leather for many years.nbsp; In her youth Peg played piano but stopped playing after she was affected by arthritis. She remained interested in music her entire life.nbsp; Peg was an excellent cook and made many delicious meals for her family.nbsp; She was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church and sang in the choir for many years.nbsp; Throughout her life Peg was interested in genealogy and published a book about her family history.nbsp; She is survived by her brother James also of Belgium Gardens. She is further survived by four sisters-in-law: Lucille Wellenstein of Glendale Luella Wellenstein of Grafton Gertrude Wellenstein of Wauwatosa and Clara Wellenstein of the Town of Belgium numerous nieces and nephews her best friend Marion Guagliardo (neeSchanen) of Laguna Woods CA other relatives and many friends.nbsp; She is preceded in death by her parents and six brothers: Leo Lawrence Joseph Elmer John and Henry Wellenstein.nbsp; Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday November 20th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church.nbsp; Father James Ernster will officiate.
