Margaret Ann Hanson of Mequon was called home on Monday, April 13, 2026, with her family at her side. She was 78. Margie was born the beloved daughter of John and Stella (Prentki) Franckowiak in Milwaukee on March 1, 1948. She was united in marriage to Ronald Hanson on May 24, 1975, in New Bedford, MA. Years later the couple decided to adopt two children from Korea that made their family complete.

Margie had a love for music, especially The Beatles and Herman’s Hermits. She had a true affinity for all things “strawberry” and dedicated her whole dining room to her collection. Margie had a big heart when it came to rescuing animals and owned many dogs and cats throughout the years.

Margie’s memory will be treasured by her children Erick Hanson and Stephanie (Ben) Bensman; grandchildren, her adored Sienna Hanson, Max and Kira Hanson-Landolt, as well as Jack, Stella, and Leo Bensman; siblings Rosie Villa and John (Roseann) Franckowiak; brother-in-law Kenny Hanson; godchild Carrie Franckowiak and other nieces, nephews, and cherished relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald and brother-in-law Isidro Villa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church North, 1375 Covered Bridge Rd., Cedarburg, WI 53012. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church in a time of visitation from 10:00-11:00am.
