Margaret Blaubach, of Belgium, formerly of Grafton and Saukville, passed away in the evening hours of Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Kathy Hospice in West Bend. She was 91. Margaret was born on September 21, 1925 in Traverse City, MI, daughter of Oliver and Frances Poker Boehnlein. The family moved to Milwaukee while she was a child, and Margaret attended local schools, graduating from Messmer High School. She was united in marriage with Ralph Blaubach on August 2, 1947, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in former Granville Center. The couple settled in Saukville, later moving to Grafton and then Belgium in 1996. He preceded her in death in 2009. Mrs. Blaubach had been a secretary at various local businesses. She was a member of Divine Savior Parish- St. Mary Chapel in Lake Church and Rose Harms American Legion Auxiliary, a former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grafton and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. She enjoyed knitting, working crossword puzzles, listening to polka music and reading.
Mrs. Blaubach is survived by her three children: Dale Blaubach of Port Washington, Karlynn (Roger) Mayer of Belgium and David (Charlene) Blaubach of Grafton. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Christopher (Annie) Blaubach of Winterville, NC, Brad (Tracy) Blaubach of Cedar Grove, Matthew Blaubach of Port Washington, Teri (Kurt) Mattek of Sheboygan Falls and Kimberly (Nathan) Dischler of Sauk City, 10 great-grandchildren, and brother Norman Boehnlein of Antigo . Further survived by sisters-in-law Audrey Blaubach of Random Lake, June Depies of Thiensville and Diane Blaubach of Grafton, brothers-in-law Donald (Madalyn) Blaubach of Cedarburg , nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph, daughter-in-law Peggy Blaubach and brother Leo Boehnlein.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, February 7th at Divine Savior- Holy Cross Chapel. Father Todd Budde will preside. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in St. Joseph Cemetery, Grafton. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Tuesday from 11AM until services at 1PM. Memorials are suggested to Divine Savior Parish.
