MARGARET M. ARNDT BOOTS Mrs. Margaret Arndt known to most people in the area as Boots lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at her home in Belgium surrounded by her family on Monday morning September 11 2006. She was 74 years old. Margaret was born to John and Clara Laures Rassel in the Town of Holland on June 29 1932. On July 24 1954 she was united in marriage with Howard Arndt at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada. The couple started Hobo's Restaurant in Belgium in May of 1987. Mrs. Arndt was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church Lake Church as well as belonging to the Christian Women and the American Legion Post 412 Auxiliary. She was an avid reader who loved doing crossword puzzles playing sheepshead and following the Milwaukee Brewer's. She also enjoyed gardening traveling going up-north and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Boots is survived by her loving husband Howie their five children: Sandy (Dean) Townsend of New Holstein John (Deborah) Arndt of Port Washington Sherry (Mark) Mulloy of Belgium Michele (Robert) Bruggink of Cedar Grove and Patrick (Jennifer) Arndt of Belgium 16 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. She is further survived by 3 brothers: Ray (Margaret) Rassel of Belgium Herbert (Doris) Rassel of Random Lake Edmund Rassel of Saukville 1 sister Clara Weyker of Random Lake 1 sister-in-law Lorraine Rassel of Belgium nieces nephews other relatives and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by 1 daughter Barbara 4 brothers: Arthur Lawrence Anthony and Jack and 1 sister Louise Lesch. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday September 14 10AM going from the Funeral Home to St. Mary Lake Church for Mass at 10:30AM. Father Jim Vojtik and Father Jim Ernster will officiate. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave. (Hwy LL and Park St.) in Belgium on Wednesday from 4-8PM and on Thursday from 9-10AM.
