Marcia E. Burke Christensen, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the age of 86. Born in Bristol, Connecticut on October 6, 1938, she was the daughter of James and May (nee Williams) Burke.
Marcia fell in love with her husband Norman Christensen and together they built a wonderful life with their four daughters, filled with many treasured memories. On October 7, 2025 the couple would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
Marcia will be lovingly remembered by her husband Norman, her daughters Beth (Scott) Propp, Carol (Rudy) Paul, Sara (Drew) Cramer, and son-in-law Gregg Koeppen; grandchildren Jaime (Jon) Lubner, Steve (Steph) Propp, Shelley (Paul AJ) Baillargeon, Lauren Navarro, Kylie (Nicholas) Consalvo, Gabriella Paul, Reagan (Tyler) Pipp, Chloe Cramer, Cooper Cramer and Rebekah Cramer; and 10 great-grandchildren (Addie, Lucy, Connor, Ellie, Jack, Harrison, Wes, Jay, Emma and Levi). She is further survived by other loving nephews, cousins, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and May (Williams) Burke, and daughter, Lisa Koeppen.
Marcia's legacy of love and compassion will endure through the generations she touched. She was a long-serving and dedicated member of the Board of Directors, who were instrumental in building the successful Children's Dyslexia Center of Greater Milwaukee. She will be forever missed and never forgotten.
A memorial service to celebrate Marcia's life will take place at 2:00pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Ozaukee Congregational Church, 1142 Lakefield Rd., Grafton WI 53024. Pastor Jeff Larson will preside. There will be a time of gathering after the service to visit with her family. Marcia will be laid to rest at Lakefield Cemetery, Grafton/Lakefield, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Children's Dyslexia Center of Greater Milwaukee or Ozaukee Congregational Church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hamilton House Senior Living and Lily Hospice for their care and compassion in her final days.
