Marcella J. Schmitz Marcy Mrs. Marcy Schmitz of Port Washington formerly of Belgium passed away Friday evening June 29 2012 at Harbor Cove in Port Washington. She was 93 years old. Marcy was born November 23 1918 in the Town of Holland daughter of Jerome and Josephine Pierron Sinnen. On June 24 1939 she was united in marriage with Alex Schmitz at St. Nicholas Chapel in Dacada. Alex preceded her in death in 1999. Marcy and Alex were founders and co-owners of the Five Pillars Supper Club in Random Lake. She worked for Allen Edmonds for 8 years and at the Lake Church Leather Products for 18 years. Although Mrs. Schmitz retired in 1975 she continued to work part-time at the Five Pillars Supper Club. Marcy was a long-time member of St. Mary Lake Church and had been a member of the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed bingo playing sheepshead sewing and had proudly handcrafted over 300 quilts. Marcy is survived by her two children: Walt (Sal) of St. Louis MO and Linda (Phil) Schmit of Random Lake. She is further survived by 5 grandchildren: Terry (Stacy) Sandee Jennifer (Eric) Necker Tracy (Ryan) Sette Aaron (Amy) Schmit Allison Schmitz great-grandchildren: Colin Nolan Alexandra Zane Zak Zander and 1 on the way brother Jerome Sinnen Jr. of Random Lake sisters Geraldine Schowalter of Mesa AZ and Alicia (Donald) Nowack of Nekoosa WI sister-in-law Gladys Sinnen of Saukville brothers and sisters-in-law: Clara Wellenstein Helen Thomes Evelyn Walber Grace Lanser Monica Schmitz John (Mary) Schmitz nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Alex twin sister LaVerne Wetor and 2 brothers: Roland and Norbert Sinnen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7PM on Monday July 2 at St. Mary Lake Church with Father James Ernster officiating. Marcy will be laid to rest beside Alex in the parish cemetery.
