Mrs. Madelyn Meyer of the Town of Belgium passed away Friday, December 23, 2022 at Ascension Columbia-St. Mary Ozaukee Hospital in Mequon. She was 88 years old.
Madelyn was born in Port Washington on August 1, 1934 to Edward and Martha Krick Mayer.
Following her schooling, Madelyn was united in marriage with Arnold E. Meyer on June 13, 1953 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in the Town of Belgium. The couple settled in Holy Cross and began their family. He preceded her in death in 2000.
Mrs. Meyer was a member of Divine Savior Parish – Holy Cross Chapel. She enjoyed flower gardening and being outside in the warm sunshine. She loved to bake and made wonderful desserts - her chocolate peanut butter balls will be missed by many. Above all, Madelyn cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children David Meyer of Port Washington and Donna Meyer of Brookfield. She is further survived by four grandsons: Adam (Nikki) Meyer, Michael (Leah) Lauters, Jason (Cari) Lauters and Mitchell (Jazmine) Lauters, 10 great-grandchildren, brother Quint (Donna) Mayer of Mesa, AZ, other family and friends. Madelyn was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Martha, and her husband Arnold.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5PM on Tuesday, January 3rd at Divine Savior Parish- Holy Cross Chapel, 5330 County Road B, Belgium. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 3-4:45PM. Mrs. Meyer will be laid to rest the following day beside her husband in Holy Cross Cemetery, Belgium.
