Lyle G. Quaas passed away on March 28, 2018. He was 66 years old. Lyle was born in Port Washington on April 2, 1951 to Wilmer and Edna (nee Sudbrink) Quaas.
After graduating from Port Washington High School, Lyle enlisted in the United States Navy in July of 1969. He served in the Navy for four years before being honorably discharged in July of 1973. While serving, Lyle held the rank of quarter master 3rd class on the USS Vreeland. After his time in the service, Lyle was employed at several places including Amcast Automotive, where he was a dedicated employee for 20 years. Lyle was his parent's caregiver for numerous years. Family was extremely important to him and he will be remembered as the best gift giver. He was thoughtful and fun whether it was for a birthday, Christmas or just for being you. It wasn't the type of gift, but the thought behind them.
Lyle is survived by his parents Wilmer and Edna; siblings Violet Schmidt, Pearl (Steve) Schultz, Dale Quaas; nieces and nephews Laurel Nonhof, Kristine Wolf, Sarah Jankowski, Christopher Schultz, godchild Brittany (fiancé Bill Clark) and Tyler (Kayla) Quaas. He is further survived by other great nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Lyle is also survived by special friends Melissa, Ardy, Dennis, Connie and Judy. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Jake Schmidt. Lyle will be dearly missed by all.
