Obituary

Lucille M. Babicky of Random Lake passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the age 100. She was born to John and Maria (nee Albinger) Schaller on March 22, 1918 in Milwaukee. Lucille married Walter Babicky. They were married fifty-seven years before his death in 1995 and together they had three children. Lucille was a long-time member of her local American Legion Auxiliary post. She belonged to the Red Hat Society and participated in various outings with the group. Lucille had a doll collection and donated her collection of Famous Ladies of the United States to a historical museum. She also collected embroidered postcards produced from 1914-1918 from WWI and official White House Christmas Ornaments, one from each year since 1984 which were displayed at area libraries. Lucille was an avid reader and mysteries and biographies were her favorites. She loved Wisconsin sports especially the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers football teams. Above all Lucille loved visits from her family and friends. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Lucille is survived by her son John (Pat) Babicky; grandchildren, Ken (Kris) Babicky, Jackie Miller, Deven Babicky, Sheri (Steve) Depies, Carrie (Mike) Fischer and Tara (Chris) Bowman; great-grandchildren, Brian (fiancée Liz Heise) Babicky, Kyle (Kristin) Babicky, Brandon and Josh Depies, Kaylee and Danielle Fischer and Seth Bowman. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, sons, Walter Jr (Rosie) and Allen; grandson-in-law Al Miller, five brothers and one sister. A Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Eernisse Funeral Home (171 N. Royal Ave. Belgium, WI 53004) from 10:00AM-12:00PM. Entombment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, WI. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake who not only cared for her but loved her like family and to the staff at Froedtert St. Joseph's Hospital of West Bend for going above and beyond with their care for her.
