Anne "Louise" Fahey
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Louise Fahey of Ellen's Home in Port Washington, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on March 3, 2018 at the age of 87 years.
Louise was born June 17, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Louis J. Beauvais and Florence Foley Beauvais. She had one older sibling, Jeanne Beauvais Marten. Louise graduated from MaryWood School for Girls in Evanston, Illinois and attended Barat College of the Sacred Heart in Lake Forest, Illinois.
On July 15, 1950, Louise and James Gregory Fahey were united in marriage at St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church in Wilmette, Illinois. They were blessed with six children James (Deborah) of Melissa, Texas, Gregory (Debra) of Minneapolis , Matthew (Debra) of Grafton, Bridget (Joseph) Mayek of Clintonville, Paul (Mary) of West Bend and Sean (Tami) of Cedarburg. They moved to Thiensville, WI in the late 1950's to be closer to James' parents and resided in various Ozaukee County communities for their remaining years.
Louise was first and foremost a dedicated wife and mother. She worked part time for many years at the News Graphic in Cedarburg. Louise loved her neighborhood card games, was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast, and always looked forward to her nights of bingo and dominos. She was a long time parishioner of St. Francis Borgia and in later years, St. John XXIII Parish in Port Washington. Her strong Catholic faith was her driving force and an inspiration to all who knew her.
Louise is survived by her six children, 14 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 1997, her parents and her step mother Marguerite Stokes, and her most beloved sister and brother-in-law Jeanne and Franklin Marten.
A memorial Mass will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday March 8th at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 1800 N Wisconsin Street, Port Washington WI. Visitation will precede the mass at 5:00. Private Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Northbrook IL at a later date.
