Obituary

LORRAINE H. RASSEL Mrs. Lorraine Rassel formerly of Main Street in Belgium passed away surrounded by her family on Friday afternoon June 6 2008 at Belgium Gardens where she had resided for the last year. She was 81 years old. Lorraine was born in the Town of Port Washington on April 30 1927 daughter of Peter and Emily Welter Miller. She was united in marriage with Arthur J. Rassel at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church on May 3 1947. He preceded her in death in 2000. Mrs. Rassel worked at Nosterrsquo;s Foods in Belgium and retired in 1988. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church the Christian Motherrsquo;s and the Luxembourg Society. She enjoyed traveling gardening reading cooking and baking. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them especially attending activities for her grandchildren and visits from her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her three children: Jan (Mark) Schueller of Mequon Don (Debbie) Rassel of Port Washington and Wally (Kathy) Rassel of West Bend son-in-law Ned Huwatschek of Mohawk MI 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers- and sisters- in law nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Art daughter Anne Huwatschek an infant son Henry and her siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday June 9 7PM from the funeral home going to St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church for Mass at 7:30 PM. Father Guy Garath will officiate. Lorraine will be laid to rest next to her husband in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal St. (Hwy LL Park St) in Belgium on Monday June 9th from 4-7PM.
