Lorena Burmesch of Grafton and formerly of Dacada and Saukville passed away unexpectedly Tuesday March 25 2014 at Columbia St. Mary's Mequon. She was 85 years old. Lorena was born April 26 1928 in Dacada the daughter of Frank and Katie Watry Burmesch. In the 1980's Lorena returned to school and earned her Accounting Associates Degree from MATC. For 10 years she worked at Allen Bradley in the accounting department. Lorena was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Saukville. She had also belonged to the Red Hat Society had been active as a 4H leader and sold Avon for over 30 years. She enjoyed bingo reading puzzles playing Yahtzee with family and friends crocheting and knitting golfing bowling and traveling. Lorena is survived by her brother Gerald (Judy) of Ogdensburg WI and sister-in-law Mary Helen Burmesch of the Town of Belgium. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews great-nieces and -nephews other co-workers Avon customers and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her sister Mary (John) Hicks 7 brothers: Herb (Amanda) Clarence (Sidonia) Wilfred (Julianna) Roman (Esther) Richard Donald and infant Alexander nieces Kathy Burmesch and Bonny Siebert and nephews Jeff Burmesch and Jim Hicks. A Memorial Mass will be held at 12PM on Saturday April 5 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 145 W. Church St. in Saukville. Father Patrick Wendt will officiate. Lorena will be laid to rest at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Dacada. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday morning from 10:30-12PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the Fisher House Wisconsin (fischerhousewi.gov).
