Loralie A. Van Sluys of Deerfield, IL passed away peacefully at the age of 71 on November 16, 2016. Raised initially in Sheboygan Falls, Loralie was a 1963 graduate of Cedarburg High School and then embarked on a long and successful career with Aon-Hewitt Associates, retiring in 2010 as a Senior Research Analyst. Loralie was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Jeanice Van Sluys, and brother Dana Van Sluys. She is survived by brothers Nathan (Connie), Colin (Carol), Sheldon (Linda), Reid (Edie), Blaine Van Sluys, sister-in-law Judy Van Sluys, and many nieces and nephews. Loralie was very active in promoting the national and local activities of Bearded Collie Club of American and the Chicagoland Bearded Collie Club. Her beloved Beardies and other dogs were the center of Loralie's life. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg, WI 53012. Inurnment to follow at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. The family will greet relative and friends on Saturday from 10:30 AM until the time of the Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Chicagoland Bearded Collie Club, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society would be appreciated.
