March 4, 1979 – March 18, 2025
Ms. Liza Rodriguez of Saukville passed away Tuesday morning, March 18, 2025, at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, with her loving father holding her hand. She was 46 years old.
Liza Ann was born in Milwaukee on March 4, 1979, daughter of Richard and Deborah (nee Prom) Rodriguez. Liza grew up in Port Washington and later Saukville, and attended special needs programs at the local schools.
A Special Olymics medalist in swimming, gymnastics, basketball, and bowling, Liza was very well known throughout the Ozaukee County area. She loved music and dancing, singing Karaoke, and watching music videos. Cher was one of her favorite performers, and Liza treasured the journey to see Cher in concert in Las Vegas in 2017.
Liza also loved all things Disney, particularly the Lion King and the Disney Princesses. The family had many trips to the Magic Kingdom in Florida, the most recent to celebrate Liza's birthday just two weeks ago. She also enjoyed playing the slots at casinos on trips with her parents.
A kindhearted soul, Liza loved all animals and took time to say hello to any that she saw… even the bugs.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her parents Rich and Deb Rodriguez of Saukville, brother Richard P. Rodriguez, and grandmothers Carol Prom and Jeanette Rodriguez. She is further survived by aunts and uncles: Michael (Debra) Prom, Patrick (Magy Watson) Prom, Kevin Prom, Diane (Bobby) Schneidwind, godmother Robin (Alan) Matenaer, Kerry Prom, Kristopher (Charlotte) Prom, Sean (Eryn) Prom, Pablo (Mary) Rodriguez Jr., godfather Robert Sargent, and Rudolph (Carol) Rodriguez.
