IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lisa Jean
Galeener
July 22, 1959 – October 20, 2025
Lisa J. Galeener
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Lisa Galeener (nee Busch), 66, longtime resident of Grafton, WI, passed away on October 20th following a long illness.
Lisa was born in Port Washington, WI, on July 22, 1959, the daughter of Frederick and Lois (nee Lassila) Busch. She grew up in the Cedarburg area and graduated from Cedarburg High School with the class of 1977.
Growing up, Lisa was defined by her athleticism and fearlessness, riding horses bareback and thundering down black diamond ski slopes. She loved animals, and over the years her many cats and dogs (JR, Brutus, Pojo, Ethel, and Mickey...to name a few) were her constant companions. She spent her free time in her garden growing flowers, vegetables, and herbs, and loved to cook. She was a news junkie, always up on current events, and was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.
Lisa is survived by her father, Fred Busch, her brother Rick, and her sisters Laura and Karen. She is further survived by her three children; Melissa (Arch) Johnston, Matt, and Eric Boppel, and her three granddaughters; Olivia and Gabby Johnston and Nora Boppel.
Lisa is preceded in death by her mother, Lois Busch.
Lisa was a loving sister, daughter, parent and grandparent and will be greatly missed.
In accordance with Lisa's wishes, private family services will be held.
Donations to the Wisconsin Humane Society – Ozaukee Campus are welcome.
The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is honored to serve the Galeener family. Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com
