Linda Strause, of Cedarburg, passed away in the evening hours on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Lawlis Hospice in Mequon. She was 52 years old. Linda was born in Mequon on February 22, 1966, daughter of Roman Omernick and Leone Armatoski Omernick. She attended school in Mequon, graduating from Homestead High School in 1984. After high school, Linda started working for T.J. Maxx in Brown Deer, a job she had for over 30 years.
In June of 1990, she married Thomas Strause at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Thiensville. Linda enjoyed doing crafts, and her home was decorated with many wreaths and other projects that she created. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and loved her dogs: Rosie and Odie.
Linda is survived by her husband Thomas and her two children Jared and Lauren, all of Cedarburg. She is further survived by her brother Roman "Jerry" (Kris) Omernick of the Town of Trenton, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Leone.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday, March 30th, 6 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave, Cedarburg. She will be laid to rest in St. Francis Borgia Parish Cemetery, Mequon. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 30th at the FUNERAL HOME from 4-6 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus, or the American Cancer Society.
