Obituary

Leslie Lund Les Les Lund of Plymouth formerly of Milwaukee passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 24 2013 at his residence. He was 75 years old. Les was born in Cincinnati OH on January 29 1938 son of Leslie E. Lund and Anna Wahn Lund. Les served his country in the United States Air Force in the late 1950's. Soon after returning to Milwaukee Les started his career with the Milwaukee Fire Department retiring from MFD in 1990. Early in his career he was very active in the Milwaukee Professional Fire Fighters Local 215. On January 26 2002 he married Gisela Drewitz in Mequon. Les was a member of the Milwaukee Liederkranz Club Austria and the Wisconsin Saengerbezirk. Les loved to watch his grandchildren perform in anything that they were active in. From band concerts cross-country meets and football games to participating in Grandparents Day at school Les never missed any of them. He is survived by his wife Gisela of Plymouth five children: Debbie (Bob) Tuckwell of Juneau Kris Gumb of Cedarburg Leslie D. Lund II of Fond du Lac Jennifer Rieder of Juneau and Rachel Lund of Horicon. He is further survived by two step-sons Adrian (Majka) Drewitz of Grafton and Mark (Jennifer) Drewitz of Kewaskum 13 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren one brother Jerry (Delores) Lund of Milwaukee one sister Kathy Scherer of Greendale one sister-in-law Maxine (the late Marvin) Lund of Waterford his former wife Joan Lund of Juneau nieces nephews other relatives and many many friends. Memorial services to celebrate Les' life will take place on Tuesday July 30th 6 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg with Rev. Linda Westphal Buth presiding. A time of gathering will precede the service at the funeral home on Tuesday July 30th from 3-6 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials suggested to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
