Obituary

Leonard W. Mentovay Mr. Len Mentovay of Belgium formerly of Port Washington and New Jersey passed away early Wednesday morning August 28 2013 at Countryside Manor West in Sheboygan. He was 66 years old. Len was born March 25 1947 in Teaneck New Jersey the son of Gazza and Grace Zick Mentovay. After high school he earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966-1969. On April 1 1972 he was united in marriage with Arlene Meyer in Maywood New Jersey. For over 10 years Len worked for CW Brabender in So. Hackensack NJ. The couple resided in New Jersey until 1979 when Len took a job with Sterling in Milwaukee and moved his family to Port Washington. Len worked for Tumpeer Chemical in Palatine IL as a sales representative until he started his own sales rep agency. In 2006 Len and Arlene moved to Belgium. Len was an avid Harley Davidson fan and enjoyed trips with his wife Arlene. Together they traveled to the East Coast and the West Coast visiting over 35 states and Canada. He enjoyed being with friends and family. Len is survived by his wife Arlene of Belgium and five children: Michael (Jennifer) Mentovay of Hartford Scott Mentovay of Belgium Sharon (Patrick) Spaeth of Saukville Bryan Zotynia of Paramus NJ and Shawn Zotynia of ME. He is further survived by 5 grandchildren brother John (Nancy) Mentovay of Port Washington NY mother-in-law Louise Meyer of Needham MA sister-in-law Carol Meyer (David) of Needham MA brother-in-law John (Jacqueline) Meyer of Paramus NJ nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Gazza and Grace and his brother Stephen Mentovay. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday September 7 2013 at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington. Rev. Dr. Ed Rafferty will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00AM-12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association. The Eernisse Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
