MRS. LEONA R. SALTZMANN Mrs. Leona Saltzmann formerly of Fredonia-Kohler Drive in Waubeka passed away early Wednesday morning January 2 2008 at Meadow View Manor in Sheboygan where she had been a resident for the last five years. She was 88 years old. Leona was born on November 23 1919 in Milwaukee daughter of Valentine and Theresa Gahlakawski Platek. She was united in marriage with Frederick Saltzmann in Milwaukee on September 24 1955. The couple moved to Waubeka in 1959 and raised their family. Mr. Saltzmann preceded her in death in 1987. Mrs. Saltzmann was a member of Holy Rosary Parish St. Rose Chapel. She enjoyed baking gardening and an occasional trip to the casino. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her two children Fred (Cheryl) Saltzmann and Nancy (William) Hoffman both of Waubeka and four grandchildren: Jake and Heather Saltzmann of Waubeka Terry (fiance Phil Vincevinus) of Saukville and Rick Hoffman of Waubeka. She is further survived by nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband 4 brothers: Henry Ray George and Val Platek and 2 sisters: Helen Schermeister and Juliette Platek Funeral Services will be held on Sunday January 6th 7 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. (Hwy 33 LL) in Port Washington. Father Richard Fleischmann will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the parish cemetery.
