Leona M. Rupp Mrs. Leona Rupp of Port Washington passed away early Wednesday morning June 19 2013 at Ellens Home where she had resided since May. She was 94 years old. Leona was born in the Town of Holland on February 22 1919 daughter of Nicholas and Magdalena Bierenbaum Feyereisen. On September 20 1947 she was united in marriage with Lawrence Rupp in Milwaukee. The couple settled in Milwaukee before moving to Port Washington in the early 1960's. He preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Rupp worked in the school kitchen at Thomas Jefferson Middle School before she retired. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington and enjoyed knitting crocheting crafts and word puzzles. In her younger days Leona also enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her sisters Elizabeth Biever of Port Washington and Genevieve Polenska of Waupun brother Herman (Rosemary) Feyereisen of Belgium sister-in-law Rosalie Sally Feyereisen of Cedar Grove step-son Lawrence (Helma) Rupp Jr. nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband step-son Kenneth Rupp and brothers Lawrence and Fr. Nicholas Feyereisen. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4PM on Tuesday June 25 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin Ave. Port Washington. Father Tom Lijewski and Father Jim Ernster will preside. She will be laid to rest the next day beside her husband in St. Nicholas Cemetery Town of Belgium. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Tuesday from 2-4PM. The Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
