Leon F. Deppiesse Mr. Leon Deppiesse of Evergreen Drive in Random Lake passed away at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan on Thursday evening January 26 2006. He was 87 years old. Leon was born on the family farm in the Town of Sherman on August 20 1918 one of seven children born to John L and Johannah Meyer Deppiesse. In October of 1945 he was united in marriage with Bernice Musack. The couple ran their farm near Random Lake and raised their children. Bernice preceded him in death in April of 1964. On August 14 1964 he married Vinette Terwilliger Hatzinger at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Random Lake. Mr. Deppiesse was a member of Holy Rosary Parish in Fredonia. Leon was a life-long farmer and also had his own farm tiling business. On the side he worked as a mason for Schmitz Construction for many years. Leon enjoyed the outdoors especially cutting wood and always kept busy on the farm even through his Golden Years. A common sight was Leon driving a tractor down the road with his Labrador riding on the hood. He is survived by his wife Vinnette of Random Lake 2 children: Ralph (Sue) Deppiesse of Random Lake and Mary Diener of Port Washington 2 step-children: Marge Mills of Port Washington and Anton (the late Gigi) Hatzinger of Waldo. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: William (Danae) Deppiesse of Oshkosh Angela (fiance Ben Suratt) Deppiesse of Vancouver WA Marie Deppiesse of Oostburg Anne (Jeff) Trott of Random Lake Steve (Melissa) Diener of Racine Brian (Jennifer) Diener of Union Grove and Barry Diener of Sheboygan 2 step-grandchildren: Anton Hatzinger of Waldo and Julie Mills of West Bend and 5 great-grandchildren: Tiernan Deppiesse of Oshkosh Cassandra and Ryan Trott both of Random Lake Cody Diener of Racine and Taylor Diener of Union Grove. He is further survived by 2 sisters: Julia Mueller of Port Washington and Jean (Milton) Karrels of Florida 1 sister-in-law Helen Deppiesse of West Bend nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife Bernice 1 step-daughterCarol Blazel 3 brothers: Vincent Everett and Martin Deppiesse and 1 sisterVeronica Meyer. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday January 30th 7PM at Holy Rosary Parish St. Chapel Fredonia Fr. Dick Fleischmann and Fr. James Ernster will officiate. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery Random Lake. The family will receive visitors Monday evening at the CHURCH from 4-7PM. Memorials in Leon's name are suggested to the Random Lake Rescue Squad.
