LEO R. NEVALA Ph.D Dr. Leo Nevala age 76 years of N219 Claervue Shores Town of Holland died Tuesday evening Sept. 10 2002 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. He was born February 22 1926 in Ironwood MI son of Alfred and Iida Laituri Nevala. He married Ivy Koskell on October 20 1951 in Ironwood MI. Leo received his Doctrate in Educational Policy Studies from UW-Milwaukee and was the Educational Coordinator for Gateway Technical College in Racine. He was a member of the Friends of Harrington Beach the Finnish-American Soc. Of America the Salolampi Foundation Bat Conservation International and was active in the Bluebird Restoration Soc. of America. He is survived by his wife Ivy of Cedar Grove 1 brother Donald (Elsie) Nevala of Ironwood MI 1 brother-in-law William (Sue) Mattson of Hurley WI 3 sister-in-law Doris Penzich of Cedar Grove Donna (Ron) Zuehl of Logansport IN and Susanne (Dave) Enquist of Belleview MI nieces nephews other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service is being planned for a later date.
