Mr. Lee Bretschneider of Main Street in Newburg passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence in the evening hours of Sunday February 19 2006. He was 57 years old. Lee was born in Newburg on October 7 1948 son of Oswald and Benadetta (nee Picciurro) Bretschneider. Lee worked at Simplicity in Port Washington retiring after more than 30 years on the job on August 1 2005. He was a member of International Machinist Union Local 430. His passion was hunting and fishing especially on his property up near Adams/Friendship. He also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers Wisconsin Badgers Football games and NASCAR races. Lee is survived by his two children Allen Bretschneider of Cedar Grove and Benadetta Bretschneider of Madison two sisters: Carol (the late Wayne) King of Newburg and Joy (Robert) Uhlig of Grafton and a niece Gina (Michael) Daiter of Milwaukee. He is further survived by his aunt and uncle Edwin and Lillian Bretschneider of West Bend one step-daughter Veronica Klas of Oostburg and 3 step-grandchildren: Amanda Klas of OswegoIL Kassandra and Gary Klas both of Oostburg other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Roger. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday February 22 7PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington. Pastor David Guse will officiate. Inurnmant will take place later in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery Newburg.
