Obituary

LeRoy F. Bittner Mr. LeRoy Bittner of Sandy Beach Road Belgium passed away at Columbia-St. Mary's Columbia Campus in Milwaukee on December 25 2003. He was 72 years old. LeRoy was born in the Town of Belgium on April 20 1931 son of Henry and Mary Welter Bittner. He entered the US Army in 1951 and served in the Korean War before receiving his discharge in 1960. Mr. Bittner most recently worked at Rostad Aluminum Company in Grafton as a caster. LeRoy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church the Catholic Foresters and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed gardening and hobby farming selling his vegetables at a roadside stand during the summer. He also enjoyed watching sports and helping out his family and friends. He is survived by 4 sisters: Mildred (Killian) Bode of Port Washington Helen (the late Martin ) Deppiesse of West Bend Marie Weyker of Grafton and Theresa (Earl) Oelhafen of Cedar Grove and 1 brother Wilbert (Ginny) Bittner of Belgium. He is further survived by nieces nephews great-nieces and nephews great-great nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers Ervin and Donald Bittner and 1 sister Estella Eischen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday December 30 2003 leaving from the Funeral Home at 10AM going to St. Mary Lake Church for Mass at 10:30 AM. Father James Vojtik and Father James Ernster will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave. (Hwy LL and Park St.) in Belgium Monday evening fro 4-7PM and again Tuesday morning from 9-10AM. A parish vigil will be held Monday evening at 7PM.
