Mr. Lawrence Cera Jr., of the Town of Port Washington, passed away surrounded by his loving family in the afternoon hours of Friday, April 16, 2021 at his residence. He was 73 years old.
Larry was born in Milwaukee on August 14, 1947, son of Lawrence Cera Sr. and Caroline Harner Cera. He grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Milwaukee Juneau High School with the class of 1966. On June 2, 1973 he married Carol Manore in Milwaukee. Larry worked as a general laborer for AMC Motors/Chrysler until he retired in 2001. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his yard.
Larry is survived by his wife Carol of the Town of Port Washington, his two children: Daniel (Calie) Cera of Menomonee Falls and Jennifer (William) Mclane of Geneva, IL. He is further survived by five grandchildren: Aidan, Brianna, Finley, Kayleigh and Liam, four siblings: Darlene (the late Gus) Rankey of Port Washington, Paul (Bonnie) Cera of Racine, James (Chris) Cera of Wauwatosa, and Mary (James) Pokrop of Winter, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Don Cera.
Funeral services celebrating Larry's life will be celebrated on May 15th at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington. Visitation will take place from 11 AM to 1 PM, followed by a service at 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation.
