LaVerne E. Spaeth (Nee Adelmeyer) 83, passed away on Sunday August 19, 2018, at the Lasata Senior Living Campus. LaVerne was born on September 17, 1934, in the Town of Herman to George and Wilhelmina (Nee Schaefer) Adelmeyer. She married Henry Spaeth on July 27, 1957. Together they made their home in Cedarburg. LaVerne was devoted to her husband, her children and especially loved doting on her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, collecting state quarters and Shirley Temple memorabilia, tending to her many gardens, watching birds at the feeders outside her windows and decorating her house inside and out for every occasion. LaVerne was the proud mother of James (Suzanne) Spaeth, Thomas (Holly) Spaeth and the late Dennis Spaeth. Beloved grandmother of Sheila (Victor) Perez, Jessica Spaeth, Brian Spaeth, Eric Spaeth and 6 very special great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Alice Adelmeyer, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years (Henry), her son Dennis, sisters Myrtle and Myra, brother Merlin, brothers-in-law Allen Taylor, Elmer Steger and nephews Joel and Gary Taylor. Mass of Christian Burial 1 :00 PM on Friday August 24, 2018 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church-North, 1375 Covered Bridge Rd, Cedarburg, WI 53012. Visitation Friday at the church from 11 AM – 1 PM. Reception in the church hall to follow. Interment St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Though our hearts are broken, we take peace in knowing that the Lord has wrapped LaVerne in His loving arms and brought her home.
