Lars M. Sternberg of Franklin passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 21, 2020 due to complications of a stroke. He was born at the Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago on June 21, 1956 to immigrants Karl and Marie (nee Andersen) Sternberg. After high school Lars proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He later married and had two children. Lars retired from AT&T over 35+ years of dedicated service. He enjoyed flying as a hobby and later obtained a pilot's license. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family on the family farm in Waupaca. Lars leaves behind his children Brandon & Natalie; grandson, Landon; sister, Bonnie (Kevin) Kellogg; nieces, Vanessa, Annalee and Ava; nephews, Eric and Brian. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Eric and Arne. Lars' family will celebrate his life privately.
