LAVERNE V. BRUS nbsp; Mrs. LaVerne Brus of Monroe Street in Port Washington formerly of Chicago passed away unexpectedly at Froedtert Lutheran Memorial Hospital in Wauwatosa on Wednesday July 1st 2009 after a recent fall.nbsp; LaVerne was born in Chicago on January 10 1931 daughter of Eugene and Elizabeth Gasior Glowinski.nbsp; She was united in marriage with Henry Brus in Chicago on May 11 1957.nbsp; After Henry retired the couple moved to Port Washington.nbsp; He preceded her in death in 1996.nbsp; LaVerne was a member at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington.nbsp; As a born-and-bred Chicagoian she was a loyal Cubs fan and enjoyed other sports as well.nbsp; She also enjoyed crossword puzzles.nbsp; Mrs. Brus is survived by her two sons: Dr. Mark (Ruth) Brus of Sarasota FL and Michael Brus of Port Washington.nbsp; She is further survived by four grandchildren: Michael Matthew and Andrew Brus of Oak Lawn IL and Victoria ldquo;Vickirdquo; Brus of Sarasota FL and one sister Bernadine (the late Stanley) Olejniczak of Schaumberg IL.nbsp; She is also survived by nieces nephews other relatives and friends.nbsp; A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2PM on Monday July 6th at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N.
