La Verne M. Schneider Mrs. La Verne Schneider of Gables on the Pond in Random Lake passed away at her residence surrounded by her family early Sunday morning April 10 2005. She was 83 years old. La Verne was born on November 18 1921 in Belgium daughter of John and Mary Birenbaum Jacoby. On October 6 1945 she was united in marriage with Michael Schneider at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. The couple farmed in the Town of Fredonia from 1958 until 1974. Mrs. Schneider was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish Random Lake and enjoyed crocheting cross stitching jig saw puzzles playing cards and gardening. She was a cat lover and enjoyed children and gardening. She is survived by her husband Michael of Random Lake 2 daughters: Virginia (Gary) Held of Batavia and Jane (Charles Steitz) Schneider of Okinawa 3 sons: Robert (Barb) of Williams Bay WI Gerald (Marydonna) of San Dimas CA and Gary (Mary) of Belgium thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is further survived by 2 sisters: Barbara Schommer of Belgium and Elvira Michalek of Plymouth 2 sisters in law Alice Jacoby of Random Lake and Mildred Jacoby of Belgium nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter Diane and two brothers Raymond and Peter Jacoby. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday April 13 2005 6:30PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish St. Nicholas Chapel Dacada. Father Richard Cerpich will officiate. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH Wednesday from 3:30 - 6:30 pm. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association..
