LaVerne M. Depies nbsp; Mrs. LaVerne Depies formerly of Silver Beach Road in the Town of Belgium passed away Thursday morning November 11 2010 at Cedar Grove Gardens in Cedar Grove where she had resided for the last two years.nbsp; She was 82 years old.nbsp; LaVerne was born at home on the family farm in the Town of Fredonia on January 14 1928 daughter of Edward N. and Olivia Klas Streff.nbsp; She was united in marriage with Oliver Depies at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada on April 12 1947.nbsp; The couple bought a farm on Silver Beach Road in the Town of Belgium and settled down to farm and raise their family.nbsp; Oliver preceded LaVerne in death in 1999.nbsp; Mrs. Depiesrsquo; first love was farming followed closely by gardening. Her children remember fondly LaVerne listening to the rosary on the radio while they would do the milking. After Oliver died she stayed and farmed until she moved to Cedar Grove Gardens in 2008.nbsp; She is described by her children as a quiet lady but a very hard worker.nbsp; She was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church.nbsp; As a grandma LaVerne helped out raising many of her grandkids and enjoyed spending time with them all. nbsp;She is survived by her six children: Ginny Schueller of Belgium Doris (Anthony) Fechter of Adell Bob (Susie) Depies of Random Lake Bill (Bonnie) Depies of Cedar Grove Jim Depies of Sheboygan and Jerry (Brenda) Depies of Cedar Grove.nbsp; She is further survived by 20 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren her sister Betty (John) Paulus of Port Washington brother Edward (Betty) Streff of Belgium sisters- and brothers-in-law Grace Rollinger of Belgium Mary Ann Lanser of Port Washington Richard Depies of Dacada and Orville Ehaney of Port Washington nieces nephews other relatives and friends.nbsp; Funeral Services will be held on Sunday November 14th leaving the Funeral Home at 5:30 PM and going to St. Mary Catholic Church Lake Church for Mass at 6PM.nbsp; Father James Ernster will officiate.nbsp; She will be laid to rest beside her husband the next morning in the parish cemetery.nbsp; The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Belgium ( 171 N.
