LaVern J. Gosewehrnbsp; ldquo;Lourdquo; Lou Gosewehr of Hawthorne Drive in the Town of Saukville passed away at his residence Thursday morning February 3 2011.nbsp; He was just short of celebrating his 96th birthday.nbsp; Lou was born at home in the Town of Saukville on March 13 1915 son of Carl and Amanda Schultz Gosewehr.nbsp; Lou graduated from Port Washington High School Class of 1932.nbsp; After his schooling he worked for Allen Bradley Corp. in Milwaukee until entering the service during World War II.nbsp; Lou served with the Army Air Force in the South Pacific Theatre.nbsp; He was united in marriage with Evangeline Anzia on May 17 1947 in Lake Church.nbsp; The couple farmed in the Town of Saukville. Lou officially retired in 2002 at the age of 87 due to health reasons.nbsp;nbsp; He was the Town Clerk for the Town of Saukville from 1955 until 1993 for a total of 38 years.nbsp; Mr. Gosewehr was a member of St. Peterrsquo;s United Church of Christ in Saukville a member of Waubeka VFW Post 7037 as well as being a charter member and former Post Commander of Saukville American Legion Post 470.nbsp; Lou was a lifetime member of the Farm Bureau and in his youth had played on the Saukville Saints Baseball team.nbsp; He enjoyed a good game of sheepshead as well as watching sports such as the Packers and the Brewers. Lou is survived by his wife Vange their four children: Robert (Linda) Gosewehr of Mequon Gerald (Susan) Gosewehr of Warrenville IL Allan (Virginia) Gosewehr of Saukville and Susan (William) Folz of Saukville.nbsp; He is further survived by grandchildren great-grandchildren 1 brother Carl (Karen) Gosewehr of Hartland sisters-and brother-in-law: Patricia Meyer of Hartford Delores Kultgen of Belgium Leona Anzia of Port Washington and Marvin (Lois) Anzia of Belgiumnbsp; nieces nephews other relatives and friends.nbsp; He is preceded in death by his parents 2 brothers Milton and Wilford Gosewehr parents-in-law Peter and Martha Lorge Anzianbsp;4 sisters-in-law: Virginia Buechlernbsp;Ginny Lenore and Ruth Gosewehr andnbsp;4 brothers-in-law: Alvin Anzia Harvey Anzia Melvin Meyer and Arthur Buechler.nbsp;nbsp; Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday February 12 at St. Peterrsquo;s United Church of Christ 166 W. Dekora St. Saukville.nbsp; Pastor Donald Ellerman will officiate.nbsp; Lou will be laid to rest in St. Finbar Cemetery Saukville.nbsp; The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Saturday from 10AM-12 noon.nbsp; In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested.nbsp; br /Service:br /pspan style=\span style=\Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday February 12 at St. Peterrsquo;s United Church of Christ 166 W.
