IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kristofer James
Falk
January 18, 1985 – November 28, 2022
Kristofer James Falk passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 28th, 2022, at his Port Washington home. Kristofer was 37 years young.
He was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on January 18th, 1985, to Bonnie and Thomas Falk. In February 1995, the family moved to Reedsburg, Wisconsin. After graduating from Reedsburg Area High School in 2003, Kristofer studied Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh. He loved his career as a senior software engineer coding programs and teaching others. He often talked about how happy and proud he was to be working his dream job at TMA Systems where he had many friends. Kristofer loved the town of Port Washington and after two years of looking for his perfect home, he bought the house of his dreams. He especially enjoyed driving his Ford Mustang along the lakeshore and traveling all over.
In addition to spending time with friends and family, Kristofer had many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed watching and attending Packer football games and was a top performer in his Fantasy football league. He played baseball from the age of three up through High School where he was on the Varsity baseball team. He also loved hiking, fishing and hunting for morel mushrooms in the Kettle Moraine Forest. He had passion for the outdoors and spent time traveling to different parks to play disc golf with family and friends.
As an avid music lover, Kristofer played his alto saxophone starting in grade school, and then added the baritone saxophone when he started high school. Kristofer enjoyed performing in Concert, Jazz, and Marching Band. He qualified to compete in high school state music competitions where he often received first place. Because of his love of music Kristofer asked Daniel (his stepfather & friend) to help him learn how to play the guitar. Always a quick learner and after many years jamming in our living room he became an excellent guitar player who had opportunities to play with professional musicians. Some of his favorite guitar solos to play were Led Zeppelin, Phish, Pink Floyd, Rage Against the Machine, and Metallica.
Kristofer's favorite bands included Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Billy Strings, Grateful Dead, Dark Star Orchestra, Tool, Shinedown, Bob Marley, Umphrey's McGee and was a devoted Phish fan. Along with his brother Nathan, who shared a kindred passion for live music, Kristofer traveled throughout the country to attend more than 100 Phish concerts and festivals; many of them lasting days long where they would camp out on site. In one particular summer they spent a couple of weeks following Phish up the East coast in 7 different cities. Kristofer also attended many music festivals with his siblings, parents and friends who shared a love for all genres of live music.
Kristofer achieved his immediate goals of having a successful career that he enjoyed and excelled at, owning a home that he could call his own, and was actively pursuing his interests and hobbies. Some of Kristofer's dreams included starting a family, traveling to Japan, home improvement projects, and so much more.
Kristofer had an enormous amount of love for all animals. After his rescue dog Kayla passed, he searched for months for a dog to rescue. With input from his father, he was able to find Koda through Sandi Paws Rescue in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Above all, Kristofer loved spending time with his family, friends and his rescue dog Koda. He was kind, loving, generous, and thoughtful. He always offered a helping hand or ear to anyone who needed it. He always had a smile on his face, and laughter soon followed. He left a positive impact on all the people he met in his short time here.
Kristofer is survived by his parents Bonnie (Daniel) Caldwell-Miller and Thomas Falk and his siblings Nathan (Tonya) Falk, Sherri (Sean) Falk Young, Nicholas Falk and Katie Urso, his nieces Scarlett and Lucy, and nephew Nolan. He is further survived by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends including his special lifelong friends Pat M, Matt L, Chad S, Marques K, Brian S, Justin C, Brian K., Kris L., and Luke M. He had hundreds of good friends; too many to mention all here. Please know he loved each and every one of you.
