IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kimberly E.
Lukes
March 10, 1986 – January 2, 2023
Ms. Kimberly Lukes of Plymouth, formerly of Saukville and Thiensville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 2, 2023. Kimberly's final act was to give the gift of life through organ donation.
Born on March 10, 1986 in Milwaukee to David and Julie (nee Parkinson) Lukes, Kim grew up in Saukville and Thiensville, graduating from Homestead High School, Class of 2004. She continued her education at MATC in Milwaukee where she pursued a degree as a Veterinary Technician.
As a young woman, Kim loved horses. She had a quarter horse named Abracadabra that she trained from a foal. They participated in shows in the English, Hunter/Jumper and Dressage categories. More recently, she helped exercise horses at a local stable.
Kim had a big love for animals of all sorts. She had a fascination with frogs and dogs, and at one time even wanted to make a skunk a family pet.
She had a very eclectic taste in music and decided what to listen to based more on the lyrics and how they affected her rather than the style of the music. She also enjoyed poetry.
Ms. Lukes enjoyed watching movies and psychological thrillers, and knew every episode of "I Survived" by heart.
Above all, Kim loved her children and her family.
Kimberly was currently working at Kwik-Trip and Walmart in Plymouth, and enjoyed her co workers and the camaraderie of work.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children Juliana and Oliver, parents David and Julie Lukes, brother William (Erica) Schultz, and sisters Stacy (Mark) Didier and Sarah (Danny) Cox. She is further survived by 9 nieces and nephews: Morgan, Spencer and Trevin Schultz, Payton, and Parker Didier, and Avery, Addilyn, DJ and Nova Cox, grandmother Audrey Pintor, god-parents Neil & Diana Krumenauer, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by grandparents William & Josephine Parkinson, and Donald Lukes.
Private family services were held.
Memorials are suggested to the family to use towards the future care and education of Kim's children.
The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff in the St. Nicholas ER, Orange Cross Paramedics, Froedtert SICU staff and Versity for their care and compassion.
The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family; online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
