With profound sadness, the family of Khristine A. Sena announces her unexpected passing on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Her family finds comfort in knowing that as an organ donor, she has positively impacted the lives of eight fortunate individuals by selflessly donating her organs and tissue.

Khris was born in Grafton, WI beloved daughter of Abram and Mary (Montoya) Sena on June 29, 1968. Her family later moved to Fond du Lac where she graduated from Goodrich High School in 1986. Khris's caring nature and interest in photography led her to college and a career in radiography. At the time of her passing, she took much pride in being the Lead MRI Technologist and Safety Officer at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital - Milwaukee and Ozaukee Campuses.

Khristine was gentle, compassionate, and hard-working. She held a deep passion for the preservation of natural spaces and served on the Gottfried Prairie and Arboretum Advisory Committee while residing in Fond du Lac. Together with Sam, Khris devoted a deep space in her heart and home to caring for elderly dogs. Khris enjoyed reading, baking, shopping, gardening, browsing farmers' markets, and crafting. She held an appreciation for the performing arts- television, film, comedy, ballet, and theater. Khris loved caring for children and babies and passed along her kindness, whimsy, and silliness. Her biggest asset was the gifts of compassion, empathy, and understanding. Her generosity and support knew no bounds and she created meaningful relationships wherever she went. Her memory will live on through these relationships.

Those left to cherish Khris's memory include her adored daughter Abbey (Lucas) Sena Reinke, loving life partner Samuel Morningstar, her devoted mother Mary Sena; loyal sisters Susan (Lynn) Beirne and Julie Fryda; treasured nieces and nephews Rachel (Thomas) Fryda-Gehde, Kelly (Paul) Schellin, Jeffrey (April) Beirne, John (Nicole) Beirne, Kevin (Lauren) Beirne, and Zachary (Brianna) Fryda; great nieces and nephews Madison (special friend Ian), Kahlee, Emjay, Brody, Braxton, Ellis, Noah, Asher, Cohen, Eli, and Soleil. She is further survived by a myriad of cousins, aunts, and uncles in Wisconsin, Colorado, and beyond.

Khris is preceded in death by her father Abram, both maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her daughter's mother-in-law Margaret Reinke.

Please join the family of Khristine Sena for a Memorial Brunch on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 11:00am-12:30PM at the Hotel Retlaw (One N. Main St., Fond du Lac, WI 54935).

Service and urn placement will take place at 1:00PM on Saturday at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum (686 Fond du Lac Ave., Fond du Lac, WI 54935) following the brunch, with continued fellowship back at the Hotel Retlaw until 5:00PM.

Khris will be lovingly laid to rest next to her father in the family crypt at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Fond du Lac.
