Kentwood G. Johnson, of Saukville, WI., age 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2016 surrounded by his children at Columbia St. Mary's in Mequon. He was born to Pat and Avis (nee Mielke) Johnson on July 13, 1939 in Carter, WI. He married Dixie Kostuch on June 7, 1958 in Milwaukee, WI and together they had two children.
Kentwood was an avid hunter and fisherman. He belonged to the Saukville Rifle and Pistol Club of Saukville for 50 years and was a longtime member of the Saukville Moose Lodge #1043. He attended the Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Grafton. Many of his interests include, crossword puzzles, gardening, going to the library and yelling at the T.V during Green Bay Packers games. He will always be remembered for his meticulously groomed lawn. Kentwood will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Kentwood is survived by his children, Richard (Mary) Johnson and Susan Johnson, both of Saukville; five grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Pat (Norma) Johnson of De Pere, Gary (Marianne) Johnson of Georgia and Michael (Darlene) Johnson of Florida; sisters, Joan Conners of Wabeno, Ann (Paul) Risner of Townsend and Janet (Dan) Stodola of Townsend; mother-in-law, Cassie Maves of Crivitz; sister-in-law Dot Johnson of Hawaii and his best friend, Sadie the dog.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dixie, his brother Skip Johnson and his step father-in-law, John Maves.
A Celebration of Kentwood's life will be held in the Spring of 2017 in Carter, WI.
