Kenneth T. Schmitz of Port Washington, WI passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at age 70. He was born on May 19, 1948 in Duluth, MN to Howard and Bernice (nee McGauley) Schmitz. He married Janice Leone on May 22, 1971 in Duluth. He earned his master's degree in public administration and later taught economics at Middle Tennessee State University until his retirement in 2011. Ken is survived by his wife Jan, his brothers, Larry (Rosemary), Michael (Pat), Howie (Jan), Chuck (Mona Yesberger) and Carlos (Mary Jo). He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Peter and Bill. A Gathering of Remembrance for family and friends will be held from 3-5pm on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Port Exploreum, 118 N. Franklin Street, Port Washington, WI 53074.
