Obituary

Kenneth J. Koller Kenneth Koller of Port Washington passed away surrounded by his loving family in the evening hours of Monday July 27 2015 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon. He was 82 years old. Ken was born in Milwaukee on April 17 1933 son of Fred Koller and Florence De Harde Koller. He grew up in Milwaukee graduating from Boys Technical High School in 1952. After high school Ken was drafted into the US Army serving in Korea. After returning to Wisconsin he married Carol Meller on July 30 1955 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Ken worked at Continental Can Co. in Milwaukee as a machinist for over 40 years retiring in 1992. He was a proud member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 4454. Ken also enjoyed his spending time with his friends at McDonalds woodworking and building birdhouses. Ken is survived by his wife of 60 years Carol of Port Washington six children; Mark (Diane) Koller of Weyauwega Sandy (Dan) Schmit of Random Lake Janet (Mark) Maechtle of Port Washington Donald Koller of Port Washington Karen Koller of Saukville and Dennis Koller of Sussex. He is further survived by 14 grandchildren; Lori (Dave) Wenske Jeff (Anna) Schmit Sarah (Tony) Milazzo Michelle (Matt) Furlott James Maechtle Ashly (Matt) Haas Tyler and Courtney Koller Gabrielle and Jacob Nagle and Audrey Kenna Julian and Carsten Koller seven great-grandchildren; Andrew Alyssa and Emma Wenske Caleb Schmit Luke and Alex Milazzo and Evan Furlott his sister Barbara (Jack) Dassow of Hartland three sisters-in-law; Lillian (the late Robert) Koller of Milwaukee Ila Mae (the late John) Vavrek of Wauwatosa and Virginia (the late Orville Meller) Evans of Florida nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents his son Carl infant granddaughter Danielle Nagle and his in-laws Henry and Alice Meller. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 1 2015 at 1 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington. Ken will be laid to rest at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. Visitation will take place on Saturday August 1st from 10:30 AM until 1 PM. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is honored to serve the family.
