IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth J.
Budreck
November 5, 1948 – July 23, 2024
Kenneth J. Budreck, age 75, passed away on Tuesday July 23rd, 2024, at his home in Port Washington. He was born in Port Washington on November 5th, 1948, to Helen and John Budreck. He attended Port Washington High School. He married his Junior High School sweetheart Sandra (Grabarczyk) on March 27th, 1971. They celebrated 53 years of marriage this year.
For many years Ken worked in Sales, Trucking, and most recently, as a custodian. Ken was passionate about traveling, including his honeymoon to Myrtle Beach S.C., going to Memphis, Louisville, and attending Mardi Gras in New Orleans 6 times. Some of Ken's favorite interests were music, his 45-record collection, CB radios, the Badgers and Packers, watching cooking shows with his wife, talking about cars and politics, and he was an avid TikTok user.
Ken loved to drive his Grandkids around town and discuss the history and landmarks of Port Washington. He was very proud to know the history of the city. Ken loved to park on the bluff and watch the deer. He also looked forward to sitting in his garage every day and hand-feeding his chipmunk friend "Chippy." His family will take over the care of "Chippy."
He was an outstanding family man. Ken was also a man of humor. He loved to make people laugh.
Ken is survived by his wife Sandy, daughter Wendy (Roger) Bley, son Daniel (Rebecca), son Patrick (Ashley), daughter Katie (Darren) Devine, his Grandkids James, Abigail, Adalyn, and Adam (Rachel), and Great Grandson Levi. He is also survived by his sisters Dinah (Rocky) Dougherty, and Marianne (Steve) Schenian. He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and John, and his brothers, John Jr. and David.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, August 1st, at St. Johns XXIII (St. Mary's Church). Visitation will be held at the church from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A celebration of his life will be held at The Patio in Port Washington starting at 5:30 pm.
The family kindly asks that in Lieu of flowers please sponsor a child's swimming lessons at your local swimming pool to help save a life.
