IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathleen Barbara
Zeh
May 30, 1943 – February 4, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Barbara Zeh, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Kathy left this world peacefully in the presence of her loving family at the age of 82. She was born the beloved daughter of Raymond and Evelyn (Stowasser) Pabst in Milwaukee on May 30, 1943.
Kathy, just a sophomore at Messmer High School (class of 1961), fell head over heels for fellow classmate, Dan Zeh. They knew this love story was meant to be and married on September 28, 1963. Kathy and Dan had a beautiful marriage and were blessed with three sons.
Kathy’s life was centered on love of family, faith, and caring for others. Her family always came first, and she created a home where everyone felt welcome, supported, and deeply loved. She had a gift for turning ordinary moments into lasting memories.
A talented and creative woman, Kathy was an avid crafter who poured her heart into everything she made. She designed beautiful handmade Christmas and birthday cards, each one a small work of art treasured by those who received them. She was an expert sewer, creating teddy bears and keepsakes, worked with ceramics, arranged flowers, and was always busy with a new project.
Kathy was also known as an exceptional cook and baker. Her meals brought everyone to the table, and her peanut butter cookies became a family favorite that will never be forgotten.
Throughout her life, Kathy was known for her strong work ethic and professionalism. She worked as an executive assistant, skillfully using shorthand and supporting leadership with care and precision. She spent many years with Kohl’s Department Store, where she formed friendships that lasted a lifetime, and later served as a medical administrator for several local clinics. In one of her most treasured roles, Kathy also provided daycare for her grandchildren for many years, creating a loving and fun environment they will always remember.
Her faith was important to her, and she dedicated many years of service to St. Francis Borgia, contributing in numerous ways to support the church and its school community.
Kathy and Dan were high school sweethearts whose love never faded. Over 68 years together and 62 years of marriage, they built a life grounded in devotion, partnership, and unwavering commitment. Kathy often said that home is what you make it, and wherever life brought them—including their move to Georgia—she made sure it always felt like home.
Nothing made Kathy prouder than her children and grandchildren. She followed their lives with joy and interest and cherished every opportunity to be together. Kathy was loved beyond measure by her family and will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews, all of whom carried a special place in her heart.
Kathy’s memory will be cherished by those who knew her best. She is survived by her devoted husband Dan Zeh of Saukville, loving children Mike Zeh of Cedarburg, Ron (Sandra) Zeh of Madison and Dan (Amy) Zeh of the Twin Cities, MN; adored grandchildren David Zeh, Sydney (Ryan) Janasik and Katie Zeh; sisters-in-law Linda Zeh, Carol Pabst and Cathy Pabst. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Evelyn; brothers Tom and Ken Pabst; mother and father-in-law John and Christine Zeh; sister-in-law Marilyn Draeving; brother-in-law Jack Zeh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00pm on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church – North, 1375 Covered Bridge Rd. Cedarburg, WI 53012. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church in a time of visitation from 10:00–11:45am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org or the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org.
Kathy’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to Community Care (Hannah and Ally) and Advocate Aurora Hospice (Warren, David, Jill and many others) for their kindness and support.
