Longtime Menomonee Falls resident, Kathleen Marie Kuhlenbeck, known by many as "Skippy" has entered into Eternal Life on Thursday January 20, 2022, at the age of 75. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 2, 1946, to her parents William and Genevieve Badke.
Kathy attended Custer High School and entered the work world upon graduation. Many of us remember Kathy as a hardworking waitress for many years at De Quardo's Pizza , Trysting Place Pub, and Kuhlenbeck's Pub and Eatery. It is through this career path where she acquired the nick name, "Skippy", bestowed upon her by co-workers from the Trysting Place Pub. While raising a family, she attended night school at Waukesha County Technical Institute in pursuit of a business degree.
Kathy is a local Sheepshead legend. She has been running the Skippy's Sheepshead League and Tournaments for decades. She always seemed to know exactly which card you would play next and didn't like a leaster. Other interests Kathy had was being an avid bowler, going to casinos with her late companion, Dan, and taking family trips with her mother and children. One of the most memorable was to Tennessee to visit Elvis Presley's Graceland Estate; she was a big fan of Elvis!
Not only did Kathy leave her mark in the Sheepshead community, she will forever be remembered by "That Hair"!! Kathy would not dare to leave her house without her hair being in order.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents William and Genevieve Badke, her brother William Badke Jr, her dear Aunt Arline Fries, and her life partner Dan Freeman.
Kathy was blessed with two children and her family grew to six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her survivors include her daughter Tammie (Michael) Kochevar, Jody (Jennifer) Kuhlenbeck, sister Patricia Douyette: grandchildren Justin Kochevar, Chaz Kochevar, Bailey Kochevar, Gavin Kuhlenbeck, Cora Kuhlenbeck, Gage Kuhlenbeck and great-grandchildren Landyn Kochevar and Monroe Kochevar. She is also survived by her dear and dedicated niece, Shana Douyette and hairstylist friend, Barbara Marks. Kathy is survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. We especially want to recognize her Sheepshead family.
