Kathy's deep commitment to prayer was evident in the quiet, faithful way she lived each day.

Kathleen Margaret Glander, cherished mother, and treasured grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.

Kathy was born at home on September 27, 1936, in Dacada, WI, to parents Alois and Clara (nee Bahr) Ehren. On August 13, 1955, Kathy married the love of her life, Eugene Glander, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised four wonderful sons, instilling in them the values of family and kindness.

Kathy and Gene shared a passion for adventure and enjoyed road trips out West for weeks at a time, creating cherished memories along the way.

Kathy loved cooking for her family at holiday gatherings, and for special occasions. Her enthusiasm for cheering on the Green Bay Packers showcased her lively spirit.

Kathy was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish – St. Mary’s Church, where her faith was the foundation of her daily life. She actively participated in the Christian Women’s group, generously dedicating her time and energy to serving both her parish and the broader community. Kathy's deep commitment to prayer was evident in the quiet, faithful way she lived each day. She found comfort, strength, and purpose in her conversations with God, and over the years wore out several rosaries from constant use—a testament to the depth of her devotion. Her unwavering faith, compassionate spirit, and willingness to help others touched countless lives and left a lasting example of kindness, humility, and grace.

For many years, Kathy dedicated herself to her work at HVC in Fredonia, earning the respect and affection of her colleagues. Above all, she found immeasurable joy in spending time with her family and adored grand and great-grandchildren, creating lasting bonds and shared experiences that will be cherished forever.

Kathy is survived by her children Mark (Joan) and David (Elizabeth) Glander; grandchildren Paul (Cassie) Glander, Monica (Frank) Bernhagen, Leah (Noah) Ross, Alexander (Jennifer) Schultz, Alysa (Blake) Bennett, Morgan Glander, Rachel Glander, Sarah Moore, Rebecca (Brian) Cichelli; great-grandchildren Noah, Kendra, Nevaeh, Marshall, Isaiah, Andrew, Ruth, Maria, Nora, Hazel, Violet, Jack, and Apolena; sister Maryann Kletzien; sister-in-law Marion Mudrock and dear friend Leona Bares.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene, and her sons Donald and Michael Glander.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Parish – St. Mary’s Chapel, 300 Butler St., Random Lake, WI 53075. Father Niel Zinthefer will preside over the Mass.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the church from 11 AM until 12 Noon.

Kathy will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Random Lake.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Lakes Parish – St. Mary’s Chapel, Pine Haven Christian Community or Sharon S. Richardson Hospice.
