IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karlheinz Werner
Scholz
March 7, 1934 – February 4, 2026
Karlheinz Werner Scholz passed away at the age of 91, finding peace and comfort with Gott im Himmel, reuniting with family and friends who have gone before him, including his beloved son, Robert, and wife, Rita.
Karl (Heinz) was born in Glewitz, Germany, on March 7, 1934, to August Scholz and Anna Martha (nee Nowack). A jeweler and master goldsmith for much of his adult life, Karl and Rita, an established seamstress, joined the artisan community at Stonecroft in Grafton, Wisconsin, collaborating to open a retail jewelry and dressmaking shop, aptly named, “The Golden Needle.” Karl lived to make others happy, whether through his craft, by lending a helping hand, or by being just silly enough to make it fun or garner a good laugh. He lived proudly, died with dignity, and most importantly, did it all his way.
Karl will be fondly remembered by his sons, Carl (Cindy) and Mark Scholz, his daughter, Annamaria (Mike) Evert, his grandchildren, Bryan (Justyna), Jonathan, Marina, and Samuel, and his greatgrandchildren; Michael and Alexandra; along with nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
Karl will be entombed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Port Washington as part of a private family ceremony. A Memorial Service will be held at a date, time, and place to be determined.
