Karin M. Schmid, age 76 of Glendale passed away on Thursday, October 13th 2016. Karin was born on May 2, 1940 to Stanley and Alice (nee Schmidt) Grosskopf. Karin enjoyed bird watching, golfing, reading and finding peace in nature. She had a love for all animals. Karin made strong friendships with her neighbors and all those she met. Above all, she was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. Karin is survived by John Schmid, daughters: Jennifer (Brent) Lindsey and Susan (Carlos) Schmid, son Kurt (Lisa) Schmid, grandchildren: Aiden, Alexandrea Lindsey, Sean, Kyle and Abby Schmid, sister Yvonne Gordon, niece Jadine Hartley and step-sister Maureen. Karin is preceded in death by her parents. A Service for Karin will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Eernisse Funeral Home 1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg at 4:00 PM. Chaplin Jarvis Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until the time of service at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers or gift, the family suggests a donation to a charity of your choice. The family extends a special thank you to the Lawlis Family Hospice and the staff at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon for all the care and compassion they provided Karin.
